a pair of percussion pistols in a leather clad case decorated with brass-studs
and the initials .S.H.,
the caliber is .52 smooth bore,
5½" round barrels.
The metal parts are kept in the white. Lock, hammer, trigger guard and butt strap
are nicely engraved,
the grips is crisp checkered.
The red inlaid case shows some wear,
an uncommon bullet mold and screw driver fit snug,
The pistols with are in excellent condition. Odd set in "Old Western Style" . $3,500.

British Patent 1878 #3645 HILL'S PATENT SELF EXTRACTOR



a very uncommon self-ejecting
revolver, 6" seven-sided barrel with dovetail front sight and on the right side
the inscription
HILL'S PATENT SELF EXTRACTOR. The caliber is circa .45, about
90% nickel plating remaining showing acceptable wear, checkered grips, lanyard
ring. Literature Taylerson's The Revolver 1865 - 1888, pages 183 + 217,
unmarked specimen pictured on plate 57

very early Adams 1851 patent style revolver on bridge stamped IMPERIAL PATENT REVOLVER

under barrel instead of a serial # stamped KXL ►►► If made in
Great Britain the revolver carries Birmingham or London proof stamps. Unlike British revolvers using one-part-frames this has a two-part-frame,
typical for German produced revolvers, please see on my site the SUHL "makers
S" and TANNER "makers T".
cal. .40 percussion,
6¼" octagonal barrel with fixed sight.
The frame, trigger guard and butt
plate scroll engraved.
Barrel and frame with circa 60% bright blue remaining.
Crisp checkered grip. 5-shot cylinder.
Overall fine condition. $1,250.
Somebody suggested Russian made, but then the inscription
is in
