in Dowell's book are small Webley made revolvers pictured like this one, and one can assume, it is also Webley made. No visible maker's name or numbers, just Birmingham proof as common for Webley made weapon's. On the cylinder is the inscription CALIBER .230 CENTER FIRE. The small revolver is kept in the white, 1
⅞" round barrel with front sight and notched rear sight on breech, plain wooden grips, folding trigger, screw-in ejector rod, in excellent condition.

No serial #, cal. .44 percussion, 5" octagonal barrel with side-lever ramrod as
pictured on plate 19.
Frame, butt cap and trigger guard are scroll engrave, some of the bluing is gone
and replaced by brownish patina, checkered grips. NRA "fine condition".
