Bär Pistol, invented by Burkhard Behr, German patent 98382 and British patent 11009 of 1898, manufactured by J. P. Sauer & Sohn, Suhl, circa 1907 - 1914. Caliber 6.35mm = .25 ACP. 4-bore-cluster. The hammer alternates for the upper and lower bores, and after the upper 2 shots are fired you need to push the latch on top and hand-revolve the cluster to fire the other two. With folding trigger a convenient carry pistol sold with the slogan "flat like a note book". On top of the barrel inscribed BÄR-PISTOL, on both sides of the cluster patent information.  The pistols are glossy blue, most common with scratches from carrying.       sold
