double barrel percussion pistol most probably made in the Pennsylvania area before or during the Civil War,
no maker’s name, no proof stamps as required if made in Great Britain
and Belgium, and no serial number.
Cal. circa .40 smoothbore, 4½” octagonal barrels with silver inlaid bands near
muzzle and breech,
two hammers and two triggers, the lock and trigger guard nicely engraved,
plain wooden grip. .
The pistol was a long time ago acquired in an estate sale in Pennsylvania, NRA
very good.
