William W. Marston
Střckel: William Walker Marston, New York, circa 1850 - 1866,  manufacturer, receives 1850 patent for his rear-loading single shot pistol, different trade names, one is THE WASHINGTON ARMS Co.

double action pepperbox THE WASHINGTON ARNS Co. on bar hammer, additional a “C” in circle , serial # 361 on inside back strap and the six shot barrel cluster, 3" length ribbed,  caliber .31 percussion, the nipples are shielded, the frame is kept in the white and is finely engraved, the bad shaped grips are varnished which is partly peeled off, but no cracks. The pepperbox is in working order, but showing its age and wear. Not often mentioned: pepperboxes were used a lot during the Civil War.  Overall in NRA good condition. Flayderman's # 7B-010,      $625.
