MARIETTE BRÉVETÉ. The pepperbox is in good working order and excellent condition. It is a rare case with a multi-purpose tool to screw the barrels and bullet mold, BRAUN & BLOEM unfehlbare Zündhütchen (= reliable caps) and a not marked powder flask. The case shows after being around 160 years a bit wear, the escutcheon is not inscribed.

this specimen with 18 barrels is one of the most impressive and also one of the rarest. The screw-barrels are made from Damascus steel and are kept in the white as fashionable at the time. The gutta percha grips are deeply engraved. The socket of the barrels is marked AF by the famous maker Auguste Francotte, and it shows the mandatory Belgian proof marks ELG. Barrels and socket are numbered 1 - 18, the caliber is .38 percussion.
