percussion pistol, odd system single shot percussion pistol, serial # 2 on top of breech, 9½" octagonal heavy barrel inscribed with KUHN and two trade marks plus dovetail front sight, the adjustable rear sight is over the breech. The caliber is .42. On the end of the breech is a lever which after pulling back allows the piston block to swivel 90° for loading with a paper cartridge. On he right side are a pair of massive springs to hammer the piston. The pistol is ½-shafted with a fine checkered grip and massive butt cap,ck to swivel 90° for loading with a paper cartridge. The barrel shows circa 50% blue mixed with a pleasant patina, the other metal parts were in the white and have darkened. There are only very few pistols made by Kuhn and apparently hand-finished and different. Scarce pistol in fine condition.     sold
