exceptional pair of percussion pistols by F. JUNG & SÖHNE IN SUHL, 8⅛" browned octagonal barrel with dovetail front sight and maker's inscription on top flat, caliber .50, lock, counter lock, trigger guard, finials and butt cap engraved, the butt cap additional inscribed v. Einem, the family name of a prominent Prussian nobility, fully shafted with nicely engraved carved checkering and a flared grip typical for the 1840 - 1850 period, shafting on muzzle and ramrod with horn cap. uncommon safety on lock. The lock shows still fine case hardening, the springs are strong.
A highly decorative pair in excellent condition!    $7,500.
