French percussion pistols in quality and style of dueling pistols

a pair of French percussion pistols, no maker's name or proof
stamps - in the 1850 - 1860's not required in France - cal. circa .45,
9˝"
channeled barrel with fine rifling like the officer's pistols of 1842, dovetail
front sight, notched rear sight on breech, as fashionable the metal parts kept
in the white. Lock, hammer, trigger guard slightly engraved, the butt cap made
from brass showing patina - in German the better word is Grünspan - Greenspan. An
excellent pair. The original wooden case is burgundy red inlaid, bullet mold with
crown mark, powder flask, wooden cap box, mallet, 2 different ram rods, nipple
driver, brush and a working key. The case shows some wear as expected after
being 150 - 160 years around.
An attractive set
