A very early pair of pistols in caliber  .35 percussion with rifled bore, 3ľ" round grayish barrel with dovetail front sight and gold inlaid INVon DELVIGNE, highly decorated hard rubber grips with retailer inscription of famous LEPAGE PARIS, the loading gate with a face of a monster, clean and not abused percussion cap. Interestingly the pistol is cocked with the bar under the barrel by pulling it backwards, and in the grip is a massive ramrod. While single pieces are very rare, this might be the only cased pair in  a wooden case complete with bullet mold, powder flask, wooden box for caps, key and two bullets. Delvigne Brte  ( = BR…VET…) made uncommon shaped percussion pistol, no visible serial #, 3½" octagonal barrel with front sight and Delvigne Brte on the top flat, caliber .42 percussion and rifled, the metal parts as for the time fashionable kept in the white, frame, hammer, trigger guard butt cap and screws are nicely engraved. With a strong spring in good working order. The scarce pipe case is also  in fine condition. Desirable set!    $5,000.

A very early pistol in cal. .35 percussion with rifled bore, 4" octagonal bright blue barrel with dovetail front sight, an embellished kept-in-the-white frame, highly decorated hard rubber grips, the loading gate with a face of a monster, clean and not abused percussion cap. With more than 95% finish remaining in excellent condition. Later made cartridge pistols are often called "mouse" pistols because depicting a mouse.
