CALVARY model, serial #  139127, made in 1891, cal. .45 l/C, 7½" barrel,  RAC inspected (Rinaldo A. Carr). Crisp clear markings,  80% deep barrel blue, thinning on the left side. Very few and shallow pinpricks towards the muzzle on the one side.  50% cylinder blue in the flutes, thin blue on the rest. Including cylinder all numbers matching. Crisp clear cartouches dated 1891 on the grip and  visible cartouche on the other side. 90% vivid rainbow hues to the case color on the frame. 60% blue on the trigger guard and back strap. Fine fitting grips . The name Cook 03 has been carved  on the bottom of the grip. A rare, fine condition US cavalry model from a period were lots were altered into the "Artillery"  models.     $17,250.
