Scarce & Desirable Cased Long Barrel .41 Colt Clover Leaf Revolver.
serial number 6868, manufactured in 1874, not common barrel length 2 7/8". This fantastic revolver  retains nearly 100% of its original Colt factory bright nickel finish, aside from some very minor flaking where the side plate was improperly removed at one time. Both sides of the hammer retain bright blue finish. Figured walnut grips retain nearly all of their original factory varnish. Face of cylinder is still bright with some minor marring where cylinder pin was removed but nickel is still present. Mirror-like bore. Fine, original English style case is in fine condition with original blue lining, including a cleaning rod and oil bottle. No English proofs.
The 1983 notarized statement claims that he revolver was owned by the Texas Patriot and Confederated General William Polk Hardeman.
